The meaning of marriage differs from one person to another, and so finding the right celebrant, also means finding that person to listen and deliver all your wishes for your special occasion.

Rules, there are no rules with myself, I will cater to your needs rather than keep you tied to a tailored manuscript. This is your day so it can be as formal, casual, religious or outrageous as you see fit.

My job to you is to offer advice on the legalities of the ceremony and have as much or as little input as you wish me to have.

Wedding Ceremonies

yes

Your wedding day will be one of the more memorable moments you share in your life together and with family and friends. You should have the freedom to express your love for each other the way you wish to and choosing a good celebrant is a key essential.

You can incorporate religious or traditional elements or candle ceremonies. From including step-children to family readings, there are endless customisations you can use in your unique ceremony.

I will follow your lead or lend a hand, it's purely your decision how much input I have. Remember my job is to ensure the legal requirements are undertaken.

Legal Requirements

  • Completion of Notice of Intent to Marry (NOIM)
  • Two (2) witnesses for the big day, that are over the age of 18 years
  • Notice Period: 1 month and 1 day prior to wedding date & no longer than 18 months in advance

Baby Naming

yes

Naming ceremonies may take on many different forms and are an alternative to christenings and baptisms. They can be as religious or casual as you wish. The ceremony is to acknowledge and celebrate your child’s entry into the world and officially introduce your child to family and friends.

My intention is to centre the ceremony on your child and make it as personal as you like and involve your family and friends.

Basic Order of Baby Naming Ceremony

  • Introduction by celebrant
  • Readings by family members or friends
  • The Parents and the Child
  • Role of the Guardians or Godparents
  • The role and Importance of Grandparents
  • Dedication of the Child
  • Final Declaration and Presentation

Your child will receive a naming certificate & commemorative candle, as will the Godparents (Guardians)

Renewal of Vows & Commitment

You may wish to reaffirm your commitment and love for each other in front of your children, family & friends for a special anniversary. Or like my brothers and sisters we had a surprise ceremony for our parents 50th wedding anniversary. We enjoyed the day as much as our parents did.

Regardless of the ceremony you wish to have, I will help create something very memorable for you, and we will reflect on the journey that you both shared.

I will present you with a Renewal of Vows certificate and copy of the ceremony.

“Love is composed of a single soul inhabiting two bodies”

The content and style of every commitment ceremony will be different and suited to what your needs as a couple are.

You will declare and make promises on what your idea of commitment means to each other.

Although this ceremony is not legally recognised, that’s not to say that it has to be any less fantastic.

Documentation for Weddings

Some or all of these documents need to be sighted by the celebrant before lodgement of any paperwork:
