Naming Ceremonies
Tailored by Angela Blattman, Marriage CelebrantNaming ceremonies may take on many different forms and are an alternative to christenings and baptisms.
They can be as religious or casual as you wish.
The ceremony is to acknowledge and celebrate your child’s entry into the world and socially introduce your child to family and friends.
My intention is to center the ceremony on your child and make it as personal as you like and involve your family and friends.
THE NAMING CEREMONY
The naming ceremony includes, but not limited to:
Introduction by celebrant
Readings by family members or friends
The parents and the child
Role of the guardians or godparents
The role and importance of grandparents
Dedication of the child
Final declaration and presentation
Your child will receive a naming certificate, as will the godparents (guardians)
A commemorative candle can be ordered upon request, for an additional cost.
