Naming Ceremonies

Tailored by Angela Blattman, Marriage Celebrant

Naming ceremonies may take on many different forms and are an alternative to christenings and baptisms.

They can be as religious or casual as you wish.

The ceremony is to acknowledge and celebrate your child’s entry into the world and socially introduce your child to family and friends.

My intention is to center the ceremony on your child and make it as personal as you like and involve your family and friends.

The naming ceremony includes, but not limited to:

Introduction by celebrant

Readings by family members or friends

The parents and the child

Role of the guardians or godparents

The role and importance of grandparents

Dedication of the child

Final declaration and presentation

Your child will receive a naming certificate, as will the godparents (guardians)

A commemorative candle can be ordered upon request, for an additional cost.

A baby will make love stronger, days shorter, nights longer, bank balances smaller, homes happier, clothes dirty, the past forgotten, and the future worth living for.”

What my clients say about me...

Angela was wonderful – she’s bubbly and made me feel at ease and provided lots of advice regarding my civil ceremony.

She looked after all the legal paperwork for us.

I would definitely recommend Angela to my friends.

From the second we walked past Angela at the Penrith bridal expo, my now husband and I were immediately hooked.

Angela is bright, bubbly, friendly and instantly made us feel at ease, in a very stressful time (planning a wedding).

Our ceremony was written to suit us perfectly, and every effort was made over several meetings and coffees to get to know us as a couple.  All the paperwork was handled thru Angela and all we had to do was sign on the dotted line.

Highly professional and encouraging from the first phone call till your certificate is in your hands five stars isn’t enough.
